Business Development Manager – Industrial Controls Raleigh, NC | Hybrid

Our client is looking for a high-energy Business Development Professional to accelerate growth for its Industrial Controls business group. If you know automation, understand controls, and thrive on connecting technical solutions with customer needs, this role puts you at the center of market expansion and strategic sales impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Hunt for new customers, markets, and business opportunities

  • Build strong customer relationships and uncover real needs

  • Develop and execute growth strategies that move the needle

  • Generate and qualify leads through outreach, events, and partnerships

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, account management, and marketing

  • Support marketing campaigns, content, and promotional initiatives

  • Lead tradeshow strategy, logistics, booth design, and post-event follow-up

  • Manage CRM pipelines and customer engagement

  • Stay sharp on industry trends and automation technologies

  • Present technical solutions to customers and internal teams

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years in industrial controls, automation, or technical sales

  • Strong understanding of controls integration and automation

  • UL 508A panel shop and OEM/manufacturing familiarity

  • Rockwell product knowledge (preferred)

  • Ability to read electrical control/power schematics

  • CRM experience and strong project management skills

  • Tradeshow/event management experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Valid driver’s license + willingness to travel (including occasional overnights)
