Under the guidance of the Automation Manager, you’ll play a vital role in crafting and implementing cutting-edge robotics solutions. Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the automation group to develop and optimize robot code and simulations.
  • Work alongside the project team to install, debug, and troubleshoot industrial robots, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Train employees on new automation systems and processes and provide support in identifying and resolving product failures.
  • Utilize your expertise to recommend the best products or services to meet our customers’ needs.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance system concepts and foster strong customer relationships.
  • Execute site installations and start-ups, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Duties:

  • Plan, write, and test Industrial Robot, PLC, and HMI programs, adhering to industry standards.
  • Design and integrate machine safety features and industrial network infrastructures for optimal performance.
  • Conduct in-house testing on industrial robotic systems, including ABB and Fanuc.
  • Collaborate with Control Systems Engineers to program control components and assist in system fine-tuning.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with customers throughout project lifecycles, addressing progress updates and contract changes.
  • Embrace travel opportunities, with up to 25% of your time dedicated to project-related tasks, including potential international assignments.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and coworkers to ensure smooth system start-ups.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in control systems activities, with proficiency in hardware design, PLC, HMI, and Vision Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of programmable controllers and related technologies, including experience with Siemens or Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Expertise in selecting, programming, and integrating industrial control devices and sensors.
  • Familiarity with a diverse range of production machinery and equipment, from robots to dispensing systems.
