Industrial Automation products company with product lines that include: PLCs, HMIs, Communications, Drives, Motors, Motion, Process/Fluid Power, and Power Distribution, needs experienced Automation Support Consultants/Automation Engineers in the North Atlanta, GA area. This role will handle troubleshooting issues and answer technical pre-sale and post-sale questions via email and phone.

Responsibilities
:

  • Customer Support/Troubleshooting – Provide solutions to customer issues received via phone, email, and/or chat. May conduct technical research, testing and re-create customer issues using actual equipment and configurations to assist in troubleshooting.
  • Training – Attend team meetings and training sessions to learn new products. When not taking calls, may also train/re-train on existing products to increase knowledge.
  • Documentation – May create application notes, review product documentation, and update hard-copy or online documentation as needed.


Qualifications
:

  • Requires a Technical Degree, a min. of 5 years of experience, or a minimum of 8 years of industry experience.
  • Experience with AC servo, Variable frequency drives, and stepper systems products required
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting/start-up experience preferred
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting Windows to industrial Ethernet network preferred
  • HMI programming and troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Communications experience with various industry networking solutions (DeviceNet, Profibus, etc.) is preferred
