About the Role:
This position focuses on working directly with industrial control systems, including PLC upgrades, HMI integration, and troubleshooting in a range of automation projects. It’s a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys solving complex technical problems.
What You’ll Do:
- Upgrade and optimize PLC hardware/software (Rockwell Allen-Bradley focus).
- Design and integrate HMI systems with OEM setups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in industrial control systems.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams for seamless project execution.
- Manage networks and control data to support project success.
- Represent the company professionally with clients and stakeholders.
Required Experience:
- PLC/HMI Programming: 6+ years of hands-on experience (Allen-Bradley required, Schneider/Modicon is a plus) in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Wonderware
- Familiarity with other HMI platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk).
- Networking and virtualization experience (Windows Server, VMWare).
- BHS experience would be a plus.
- Strong skills in Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Cisco networking skills would be a plus.
Requirements to Apply:
- Live within commuting distance of an airport (preferably in MN, WI, or MI)
- Authorized to work in the US and able to pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel 25% (almost always short term and rarely on weekends).
- Comfortable with occasional irregular hours (some nights, no regular weekends).
