Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in the industrial equipment sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to customers.
- Experience using business software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships across multiple states.
- Collaborate as a key member of the sales team, sometimes leading the team and at other times providing support.
- Understand and gather customer requirements, translating them into effective solutions.
- Align customer needs with product offerings and services.
- Work closely with the Application Engineering team to deliver tailored solutions.
- Meet sales targets through effective negotiation and closing strategies.
- Analyze competitors’ product strengths and weaknesses to position our offerings effectively.
- Visit customer facilities to assess project needs and offer solutions for current and future equipment.
- Coordinate with internal teams including:
- Applications Engineers
- Project Engineers
- Project Managers
- Product line sales and service teams to deliver comprehensive system proposals and resolve customer concerns.
- Proficiently use various software tools, including:
- CRM systems to accurately log and manage customer data.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint for daily tasks.
