Regional Sales Manager (Industrial Sensors)

We are seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Regional Sales Manager, who will operate either independently from a home office or partially from the office in San Jose, California. This position involves a blend of sales and basic marketing responsibilities, with a primary focus on maintaining existing business relationships and identifying new opportunities within the OEM and distributor accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visits to OEMs, primarily focusing on existing users.
  • Evaluate territory performance, identify target markets, and seize new business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive territory sales plan to meet quarterly objectives.
  • Manage national and regional accounts, working closely with distribution partners.
  • Maintain and update customer database.
  • Collaborate in the development of marketing materials and support product promotion through advertising, trade shows, and public relations activities.
  • Provide valuable product feedback, growth estimates, and new product recommendations to corporate R&D.
  • Manage Independent Sales Representatives and Distributors.
  • Offer technical support and assistance to clients.

Key Skills:

  • Ability to work independently in both sales and technical capacities.
  • Excellent presentation skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Extensive travel within the territory (40% or more of monthly duties).
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Demonstrated success in closing new business deals.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, specifically “Pipedrive” for deal and contact management.

Experience:

  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • Five or more years of sales experience in the industrial field.
  • Background in sensors or electrical components.
  • Proven expertise in technical solution-based selling and management-level selling.
  • Experience in selling to end-users and/or the distribution marketplace.
