As a SCADA Software Engineer, you’ll handle the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical infrastructure monitoring systems. You should be comfortable with PLC programming and have a solid grasp of mechanical and electrical systems.

What Do You Need For This Great Opportunity?

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, and SQL databases.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging software.
  • Knowledge of Windows at the power user level.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of field service experience with industrial instrumentation and control systems.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Factory Talk, Tridium, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Ignition, and various communication protocols.
  • Experience in mission-critical sectors.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical schematics, control diagrams, and HVAC systems.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Installation & Configuration: Manage system setup, integration, and testing. Configure PLC programs to control machinery.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and fix PLC, sensor, and actuator issues. Handle Predictive Maintenance Verification (PMV) and provide ongoing support.
  • Programming & Logic Design: Write and test control system software in C++, Java, Python, and other languages. Design automation sequences and maintain SQL databases.
  • System Integration: Connect PLCs with SCADA and HMI systems to ensure seamless communication.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and implement emergency shutdown procedures.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Record changes, repairs, and upgrades; report system performance and improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineers, electricians, and maintenance teams. Provide technical support to customers.
