Our client is looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Specialist to analyze, design, and program process controls systems for new and existing water treatment systems.
This position provides technical support of instrumentation, control equipment, and systems for various data acquisition. As well as support for radio communication, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) which includes PLC, HMI, and Historian applications. Proficient computer skills including knowledge of MS Office and MS operating systems.
Experience with Rockwell and FactoryTalk preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of computerized instrumentation systems, transformers, switches, control panels and electronic elements of telemetry systems and components necessary. Strong troubleshooting and programming background essential.

Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Technology or related or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- A minimum of two years related experience in electronic or technical support of LAN/WAN based SCADA networks.
- Obtain within one (1) year of the date of hire or promotion to the position, CPR and First Aid certification and maintain during employment in position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Programming and modifying HMI’s.
- Programming and Interpreting Ladder Logic.
- Planning, enhancement, and installation projects with the team to improve and upgrade controls.
- System integration and improvements.
- Troubleshooting complex problems across controls & data acquisition systems.
- Gathering, interpreting and analyzing data.
- Installing cards and components associated with I/O systems.
- Calibrating, testing, and implementing water and wastewater systems instrumentation.
- Maintaining PLC’s, RTU’s and data acquisition/telemetry systems.
