As a Field Service Engineer, you will deliver support to the internal team and customers by providing site management, process solutions, automation solutions, and troubleshooting services.

To be successful in the role, the engineer must understand both process applications and system functionality for both new and existing equipment.

Requirements

• AS or BS in Engineering, Science, or another related field, OR equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of service-related experience
• PLC programming and hardware experience
• Instrumentation testing and calibration equipment
• Hands-on experience with the repair and service of process-related machines and products
• Prior technical, mechanical, and electrical training.
• Must be able to read and work with electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other related drawings.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including overnight, with travel up to 60% of the time. Travel may consist of 1 day to 2 weeks at a given time. (Bonus paid for each day you travel!)
• Prior exposure to clients and vendors in the food and beverage, or pharmaceutical industry, is strongly preferred.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a continuous positive relationship with customers, including support and follow-up on customers’ concerns and problems
• Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding services on-site, online, and by phone
• Perform and execute Factory Acceptance Testing
• Perform site management, process engineering, mechanical engineering, controls, and automation engineering for installation, start-up, and commissioning of engineered systems
• Execute site acceptance testing – partner with the customer, manage and/or support the startup team for this function
• Document and maintain written records of services performed
