As a Control Engineer, you will be involved in the design and implementation of electrical process control systems for a variety of industries: Municipal Water/ Wastewater, Industrial, Aerospace, Hydropower, Food & Beverage, Material Handling, and more.

Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years experience
- Familiarity with Control Systems Engineering Tools (Rockwell Automation, Siemens Capital, Wonderware, Automation Direct (C-More, Stella, etc.) & Ignition.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, lean, industrial environment as both an independent self-starter and collaborative team member
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective at managing multiple ongoing assignments simultaneously with the ability to reprioritize work in a continually changing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems; ability to investigate, identify, and provide solutions to technical problems with an in-depth understanding of existing and emerging technologies.
- Competency with standard business software tools and practices (Microsoft Office, Virtual meeting platforms, word processing, spreadsheets, technical documentation writing and comprehension, record keeping, etc.)
- Overnight travel 15-25%
Responsibilities Include:
- Support design, release, and review of electrical wiring plans, component specifications, and schematics for AC/DC with an understanding of analog wiring circuits (i.e., 4-20 mA, 1-5Vdc, loop powered).
- Designed and programmed PLC Logic for control systems, including Ladder Logic, SQL, Python, C+, etc.
- HMI Design and Programming using Factory Talk ME, Studio 5000, Plant PAX, and View Designer programs. Other Programs may include Wonderware and Ignition.
- VFD Configuration and Troubleshooting • Experience with Instrumentation and Process Interfaces (Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, etc.) Tuning and calibration of instrumentation loops.
- Quality Testing of manufactured panels both in a fabrication shop and on-site.
- Factory Acceptance Testing and Commissioning new and retrofitted systems with customers, field electricians, and OEM working collaboratively on site.
- Fieldwork includes updating existing controls, installing new controls and instrumentation, inspecting installations, observing operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards, and customer training on the operation and maintenance of systems.
- Applied use of various serial, ethernet, and other communication protocols.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills (verbal and written), with experience presenting (you will often be required to present solutions directly to ‘c-suite’ level stakeholders) on site-plan, schedule, functionality, and design of systems while maintaining an active role in installations and provide subject matter expertise for network and controls integration.
- Generating formal, complete documentation for projects.
- Comprehensive electrical knowledge is required. Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, Computer Science, Statistical Analysis, or other engineering disciplines are preferred additional knowledge bases.
- Working knowledge of NEC, UL508A, and NFPA 79 is required.
- 2D CAD Design experience required, 3D CAD experience is desirable.
- 15-25% travel to support customers and are additionally responsible for building customer relationships and supporting sales and marketing by performing their duties.
Salary: $95,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year (Dependent on Experience)
