Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, program, implement, and commission Automated Controls Systems
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and material lists for projects
  • Coordinate and maintain a positive relationship with customers, vendors, and suppliers
  • Coordinate and provide all information necessary to the installation crews to facilitate and expedite quality installations of the control systems
  • Lead assigned support staff and associates to execute project deliverables
  • Assists Principal Controls Engineer on specific projects or portions of projects as assigned
  • Timely reporting of labor hours and materials used to ensure prompt and accurate job costs and customer invoicing
  • Attend trade show conferences and seminars as deemed appropriate
  • Pursue ongoing formal education, as appropriate, including but not limited to attending classes, outside study, and testing.
  • Perform duties in a safe, thorough, and profitable manner to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BSEE or related engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant field
  • Experience in programming PLCs and HMI systems (Allen Bradley)
  • Experience in drafting software preferably AUTOCAD/AUTOCAD Electrical
  • Ability to travel 25% – 30%

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with power systems, drive systems, industrial communications, and OPC connectivity
  • Experience across multiple PLC and HMI platforms
  • Relevant hardware design, programming, and implementation experience in the Food & Beverage industry
