Automation Engineer – HMI/SCADA

Location: Davenport, IA

Compensation: $103,000 – $120,000 base salary + 10% bonus

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and optimize automated systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Develop and enhance HMI/SCADA systems (Wonderware experience preferred).
  • Troubleshoot and support electrical systems, including Allen-Bradley PLCs.
  • Manage TCP/IP networks, SQL databases, and multi-threaded applications.
  • Lead vendor coordination, equipment training, and technical studies.
  • Keep up with emerging technologies to drive process improvements.

What You Bring:

  1. Education: Bachelors in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering (or related field).
  2. Experience: 3–5 years in manufacturing with a focus on HMI/SCADA systems.
  3. Technical Expertise:
    • Wonderware, Allen-Bradley PLCs, and TCP/IP networks.
    • SQL programming, relational databases, and client/server applications.
    • Multi-threaded software development and Windows OS management.
  4. Skills: Strong communication and the ability to troubleshoot electronics on the shop floor.
  5. Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (no visa sponsorship available).
