Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens PCS 7
  • Working knowledge of PROFIBUS communications
  • Understanding of industrial Ethernet/IP-based networks
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using electrical testing equipment, including digital multimeters
  • Experience designing HMIs using WinCC, FactoryTalk View, or Wonderware
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement industrial automation and control systems independently and as part of a project team
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and related automation software to meet customer and production requirements
  • Test, troubleshoot, modify, and maintain automation systems
  • Develop logic diagrams, flowcharts, and other technical documentation for automation projects
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop drawings, and equipment manuals
  • Support system startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer facilities
  • Provide technical support and recommend system improvements when needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EPLAN or AutoCAD
  • Experience commissioning VFDs
  • Control panel design and build experience
  • Experience creating or modifying P&IDs
  • Experience with Moore APACS control systems
  • Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming experience
