The Automation Assembly Technician plays a vital role in assembling custom automation systems based on designs provided by our engineering team. This position involves working with mechanical and electrical prints, utilizing hand and power tools, and collaborating closely with the engineering teams to bring our projects to life.
Day to day duties:
– Assemble machinery, fabricated parts, and electrical components based on engineering designs.
– Manage assigned tasks to support production and project work.
– Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams and blueprints, to guide assembly.
– Use hand and power tools to align, fit, and assemble component parts.
– Build ethernet connections and install sensors as required.
– Maintain technical and operational documentation for reference.
– Conduct quality inspections to ensure product integrity.
– Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as needed.
– Collaborate with team members and apply creative problem-solving skills to overcome challenges.
– Prepare finished products for shipment by disassembling completed systems.
– Assist in the installation of finished systems at customer sites.
– Our client has an extremely high regard for safety. Adhere to safety rules, safe work practices, and standard operating procedures.
– Some regional travel required – about 15%
Here’s what you need to be qualified:
– High School Diploma or GED.
– Basic proficiency in mathematics, reading, and writing.
– Knowledge of software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365.
– Experience with hand tools.
It would be great if you had these experiences / qualifications:
– Basic electrical assembly experience.
– Familiarity with assembly tools and materials.
– Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
